Dr. Marynia Kolak, Assistant Director for Health Informatics at Center for Spatial Data Science, was invited to give a talk at 12th Mathematical and Statistical Modeling of Complex Systems Workshop, at Northeastern Illinois University.
In her most recent work, she and colleagues investigated changes in supermarket access in Chicago between 2007 and 2014, The Great Recession, which they hypothesized worsened local food inequity (paper published on Health & Place Journal can be read here).
