CSDS Part of $3 Million Grant to Advance Geoscience Curriculum
The Center for Spatial Data Science is part of a recent $3 million award from the National Science Foundation to provide critical data science education for graduate students specializing in energy and environmental research. Elisabeth Moyer, associate professor of atmospheric science in the Department of the Geophysical Sciences, is the PI on this award. The curriculum brings researchers and educators together from across UChicago and Argonne National Laboratory in computing, statistics, social science, climate and agriculture. CSDS will add spatial analytics education to this curriculum.
